Online CPD Event for Osteopaths
· Led by Daniel Stuttard MA BSc(Hons) DPO
· DATE TBC
· One CPD hour for £35.00 plus Eventbrite’s Fee
Join Daniel Stuttard to explore how your paediatric practice demands a philosophical approach to osteopathy.
We should all know that thinking about our ‘osteopathy’ improves our ‘osteopathy’. Working with children highlights the complexity and uncertainty of treating real live organic beings. Children are in such constant change with the forces of growth and development that anything short of a highly considered osteopathic approach may leave our patients short.
Looking at the requirements for tissue health from a complexity perspective may help us uncover our own biases, acknowledge and challenge them, and look forward to genuine problem solving with our paediatric patients and authentic osteopathic healthcare.
This talk presents reflections on models of osteopathic approach and rationale developed at the OCC over many years.
One hour lecture followed by extra time for Q&As

Daniel Stuttard MA BSc(Hons) DPO
Daniel Stuttard graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2003. Soon after graduation, Daniel joined the OCC’s DPO (Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy), and later accepted the role of clinical consultant and educator in post graduate training, developing and running the DPO and APO courses at the Osteopathic Centre for Children. With more than 17-years of experience in osteopathy, Daniel also has extensive teaching experience, lecturing for several teaching institutions in the UK and abroad. Daniel loves his work as an osteopath because it gives him the chance to share in the life and health of others. He sees this as a privilege and regards it as sacred. His greatest challenge has been championing osteopathic principles in providing authentic health care to children.
